Kickstand for Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme 7212 tablet
thingiverse
I didn't want to pay $50+ for a kickstand so I designed this one instead. Requires three screws, two O-rings, and two thread inserts. Heat up the thread inserts and press them into the holes on the ends of the mount piece. Push screws through the holes on the stand piece and screw them through the O-rings into the thread inserts. Line up the mounting bar with the screw hole and two rectangular indents on the back of the tablet and screw it all in. Adjust the two side screws until it's as stiff as you like it. The "feet" on the stand have indentations in them; cut up a large O-ring or similar material and superglue it into the indentations for extra grip. Model is sized for M5 thread inserts, and I'm pretty sure the tablet takes an M4 screw for mounting, but I suggest bringing the tablet and mounting bar to a hardware store and finding the one that works best for you.
