Kia Soul Key Fob Buttons
thingiverse
I know four individuals whose buttons have come loose from their key fobs for 2011 and 2012 Kia Souls. Getting a replacement key fob can be quite expensive so I searched Thingiverse for buttons and found a set by VMaxx. The problem was that I couldn't get them to work one at a time, so I decided to try making separate push buttons and it worked! The new buttons are slightly smaller than the originals, so you might need to scale them up a bit to make the key look flush. I carefully removed all the remnants of my old buttons and then these fit right in. To secure the outside part, I applied some superglue and so far it has been holding up well. If you need new buttons for your keys, then these might be helpful. Update 8/3/2020: After about a year, the cover fell apart and I lost all the buttons... so here is version 2. The panic/alarm button is smaller because I kept pressing it in my pocket, and the cover should print nicer. I haven't had the chance to print this one yet but I noticed a comment about the old version having issues printing. This one should work better! I'm planning on printing this with PETG next time around, but if anyone prints it with PLA or ABS, I'd love to see how that goes!
