I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Kia Sorrento, despite its few issues - notably, a total engine recall that the dealer was not aware of at the time. However, one of the mechanisms used to adjust and fold up the rear seats malfunctioned. A repair with epoxy proved unsuccessful. Consequently, I set out to design a replacement part once my printer's calibration had improved. The new component is engineered to utilize hooks that latch onto small metal clasps on the cables responsible for releasing the mechanism. Although this is a highly specialized part, it's possible that others may be seeking a solution to this exact problem as well.
