My Kia Rio has a problem where the boot release button, which is made of rubber, has worn out, leaving the micro switch exposed to the elements. This Thing provides a simple and quick solution to allow the boot release to work while protecting the micro switch. The edge of the material is thin, making it flexible. The replacement button can be attached with rubber glue along its thin edges. This will enable you to press the button and keep the electronics safe from the elements. Note: This has not been extensively tested and only during cold weather conditions. Being made of PLA, it may not withstand hot summers well.
