Elena Janson-Manizer's work depicts ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya in the Persian Dance scene from Mussorgsky's opera Khovanshchina (1959). The initial sculpture was made of cast iron, but I experimented with variations in marble and bronze. Using Zbrush for modeling, Substance Painter for material blending, and 3D max/Corona for rendering, I created three identical models with a polygon count of 121,853 faces each.
