Pistol Khanda, circa 1879, originates from Patiala, Punjab. It currently resides at Nottingham Museum Service under catalog number NCM 1879-105. This percussion pistol comes equipped with a sheath, adorned with purple velvet and gold openwork mounts. Intricate elephant and bird sculptures are featured on the handle, which houses a bullet compartment within its hilt. The blade is crafted from watered steel.
