KFLO8 608 BEARING MOUNT
thingiverse
This is a remix of the https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:305363 608 bearing mount. The original creator made it so that drilling a hole and adding supports were necessary, but I saw an opportunity to make this design better. I created this one so that the 8mm rods used in your 3D printer setup can be trimmed to size, eliminating the need for precise measurements. The 608 bearing with dimensions 22x7x8mm bore now fits flush against the inner surface without requiring any drilling. The fit should be tight enough for the bearing to slide in easily, and a gentle tap with a hammer will secure it in place. Then, mount the 8mm rod to complete the assembly. This design eliminates the need for supports entirely, as one side is flat, providing ample backing to prevent the bearing from popping out. You can take an extra step by applying cyanoacrylate (also known as crazy glue) to both the bearing and the 8mm rod for added security. The design uses 5mm screws for assembly.
