I'm tackling those super popular fidget spinners and giving them my own twist. I downloaded a bunch and quickly realized that they were all too light, which was their biggest problem. My solution is to take the standard 4-bearing spinner and add three 5/8 / M8 hex nuts glued into the slots between the bearings. This added weight gives me much longer spins. The name and nut location are inspired by Coheed and Cambria. Parts Needed: 1. Spinner 2. Finger Pads (There are two per .obj file) 4. 608 bearings 3. 5/8 / M8 hex nuts CA glue Sandpaper (depending on your printer's accuracy) Printer Settings: Printer: Hictop Mendel (Prua i3 clone) Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 100% Notes: You can probably print it at a lower resolution, but I wanted to make it super smooth in my hand. I'm not sure if infill matters due to the size. Post-Printing Instructions: Insert bearings and test spin to check balance. If necessary, adjust bearings for perfect balance. Next, glue on nuts and test spin again. Make adjustments as needed. Finally, attach finger pads with a single drop of glue on the post. I suggest waiting until you're sure it's nicely balanced before installing the pads.
