This smaller keystone has recently been recognized as part of an architectural arch system, yet it had been sitting in the Lapidarium for many years prior to its identification in 2009. Archaeologists believe it once belonged to the demolished side chapel of the Church of the Holy Cross, where signs of deliberate disfigurement are visible, suggesting that parts were intentionally cut off because they displayed a coat of arms associated with a family whose honor had been tarnished.
