Designed from the ground up to take advantage of polyjet printing. Transparent materials, textured rubber, and a cooling system that covers the tip of finger to the wrist. My goal for this project was to show what a polyjet printer can do, and how a fan-in-mouse design can be improved by using 3D printed air ducts. I bought some modeling clay, and went through a few iterations. Eventually I decided on the high-arch design, as well as a large thumb rest. Aesthetics are important, but I favoured comfort above all for this concept. Other goals for this concept:- Create a professional looking mouse, that is also fit for gaming- Use LED lighting more modestly, compared to other gaming mice- Preserve Keyshot styling and brandingNote:3dm & .print files may need some tweaking before printing. Keyshot is new to me, and I’ll continue to update the file until the contest closes. *** The mesh in the .step file is placeholder, use mesh in STL folder insteadFans used: 20x20x6mm common electronics fan.
