Keyholder The Great Wave off Kanagawa Key Hook

Keyholder The Great Wave off Kanagawa Key Hook

This is something I designed to hold keys by the front door. The idea was inspired by the famous Japanese print series "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa." First, I converted the actual artwork into 3D using convertio.co/image-converter based on teaching tech's videos. Then, I uploaded that into Tinkercad and created a backboard with some small design elements and beveled edges. The pegs used were borrowed from a design on Thingiverse, but unfortunately, it was taken down so I can't link it. To achieve the two colors, I paused the print at layer 27 (check this in layer view; it could be 23) and changed the filament from white to blue. Cura was used to slice this model and redo the last layer after the filament change. No supports were necessary; a .2 layer height was sufficient. If you want the actual Tinkercad model, let me know and I can post it. A brim was used, probably not necessary but extra safety for such a long print is always good. 10% infill seems to be enough. Printed on a Creality Ender 3 Pro using Hatchbox white PLA filament (194 degrees) and Protopasta winter blue PLA filament (208 degrees). If you print this design, I'd love to see the results! Please post your Make; it would really make my day.
