Simple way to carry just the small scissors from the Victorinox Swiss Army Keychain Knife (http://amzn.com/B00004YVB2) on your keychain without any hassle. The scissors snap in place when they are fully inserted into their sheath. This ingenious little case keeps them from causing damage to your pockets. We hope you find this useful! Print Settings Printer: Da Vinci 1.0A hacked with E3D-v6 and Repetier V92 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm layers Infill: Solid Notes: Print a couple of them at opposite corners of your printer bed to give them enough time to cool between layers. Post-Printing Carefully pull apart the knife assembly using a pair of pliers and retrieve the scissors without causing any damage. If you have access to a drill press, you can easily remove the rivets instead, but pliers work just fine. Next, use the small spit ring to attach them securely to your keychain. Add the sheath and you're ready to go. How I Designed This My Victorinox Swiss Army Keychain Knife eventually gave up (http://amzn.com/B00004YVB2) - lost the tweezers and the side plastic plates started coming loose. I've purchased a few of these over the years, but they all last for only so long. What I find is that I really only need the scissors - they can also be used as a knife to open boxes and packages. This sheath does the trick perfectly and it's slightly smaller in your pocket. The walls could probably be made even thinner if you want to experiment with the 123D file. I took a photo of the closed scissors. Then, I converted it into an SVG using InkScape. Next, I imported it into 123D Design, scaled it up and extruded it to give it some width. After that, I built a simple solid block around it and subtracted the thick SVG profile. Finally, I printed a couple of samples to check the sizing, scaled the model in Repetier to get the fit just right.
