If you need to detach small items like USB flash drives, keychains, or other tools attached to your keys without messing with tangled chains, this solution might interest you. This keychain separator is fully 3D printable without any supporting materials needed. Instead of a standard button press, the pieces come apart easily when twisted and pulled. A simple locking mechanism ensures they won't separate unless you want them to. To get the best results, print the provided STL files in their default orientation using PLA with a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.15 mm layer height, and 10% infill. Adding a brim can be helpful for securing build plate adhesion.
