Keychain Pill Bottle

Keychain Pill Bottle

thingiverse

Create a keychain-sized pill bottle holding up to four 8mm pills, designed for a coworker with a bee allergy. A revised version (updated 5/28/14) includes an STL file for a gasket made of flexible filament. The design utilizes the "Thread Library.scad" from Thingiverse and requires printing three pieces: cylinder body, cap, and hook. Glue the hook into the cap using acetone/ABS glue, then screw the cap onto the bottle before adjusting it with a few turns to loosen it, if needed. Apply silicone or cooking oil on the threads for smoother operation. Consider using a knurled finish on the cap by incorporating Thingiverse's library (added after this design) to create grooves. Print at 100% fill with .25mm layers on a MakerBot TOM with MK7. Note the gasket improvement added on the update date.
