Keychain Lithopane - Customizable

Make your very own one-of-a-kind keychain. Use any picture - a selfie, your favorite band, or someone you love. Upload the image and create your unique keychain right away. To help you print in different colors, I've improved my plastic opacity test print. Check out the instructions for more details. I've included an updated version of my opacity test STL file so you can find the perfect number for the layers setting based on the color of plastic you'll be using. Change any settings you want and download it. Just be sure not to make the border too thin. I learned this the hard way when I left some PLA keychains in a parked car and the heat of the sun made a 1.2mm thin keychain warp. If you're not sure how many layers to use with a certain color, don't worry! I've got you covered. I made an improved version of my opacity test strip for you - it's smaller and prints faster. Use the file lithopane-test_opacity_3mm.4x4-pad1.3.stl. To print the opacity test slice at 0.1mm layer height, 100% fill, initial layer 0.1mm. Each row is a 0-10 layer opacity scale. Hold it up to the light and see where the light stops passing through. I made it go all the way to 3mm thick since some of the transparent plastic colors can go that far. Important notes: For dark-colored plastics, make sure to keep the border thickness at 3mm or more because thin prints can warp in a hot car. If you're using words in your picture, be sure to reverse the image before uploading so the letters don't appear backwards.
