Keycap puller

Keycap puller

thingiverse

I made a Keyboard Key Puller/Remover inspired by TBRIshtar's thing on Thingiverse, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:463824. A friend needed one, so I decided to print one for him and it works well but took quite some force to push into the keycaps (like the one that came with my Ducky keyboard). It turns out the prongs were too wide apart and thick. My version has thinner prongs and they are narrower apart. The tips have been made shorter but higher in height. This gives more clearance around keycaps, especially the Esc button. The net result is the keycap puller slips into the keycap with less force. I also added fillet to the prongs to relieve stress concentration (just for fun). The finger hole is a circle because FreeCAD doesn't support ellipses. I attached the FreeCAD file. Print Settings Printer: New Matter MOD-t Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: My experience with the New Matter MOD-t made me recommend a raft for all thin profile prints. This was no exception as many prints failed due to bed adhesion with this printer. YMMV.
