Keyboard and iPad Stand
thingiverse
This ergonomic keyboard stand was specifically designed for a student with disabilities who struggles to type using her fingers. Instead, she relies on a stylus held in her mouth to press each key, so the stand must hold the keyboard at an optimal angle and height. The current design holds the keyboard at a 25-degree angle and raises the front roughly 2.5 inches, allowing her to reach the keys without straining her back excessively. The stand can accommodate a range of devices from keyboards to iPads, its size determined by the length of the rod used. A .375-inch diameter hole is essential, although the actual model is slightly larger due to printer error. To add stability and adjustability, I inserted a wooden dowel with the same diameter. The current pictures are from an earlier version; uploading new ones will be difficult for now, but the differences don't impact performance. Print Settings: Printer Brand - MakerBot, Printer - MakerBot Replicator 2X, Rafts - Yes, Supports - No, Resolution - .2 mm, Infill - 10%. Note: Printing both parts simultaneously may cause warping, though it won't affect the stand's functionality unless severe.
