I added a fix to my office desk drawer lock, and it's a simple solution that anyone can use. The problem is usually caused by the arm of the pivot breaking off where the keys turn. This happens more often than you'd think - I've seen it happen with several of my own locks, so I figured I'd come up with a design to replace the broken piece. To make this fix work, you'll need to remove the metal bar from the base of the key and insert it into the new top part of the key. It's easy enough that anyone can do it, and it should help prevent further problems with your desk drawer lock.
