KEY REX

Have you ever found yourself losing your keys because those plain old adhesive hooks just aren't getting the job done? Have you ever wished your key holder could strike fear into the eyes of anyone who gets in your way? Well look no further, because you've finally found the most rugged, the most prehistorically dominant, the most utterly sick 3D print that will ever come out of your printer. Just slap a command strip or similar product on the back and you're all set. The KEY REX was created in Meshmixer from Thingiverse, where you can find it at thing:16331 and thing:240953. From there, I brought it into Inventor to remove its back half and add the plaque and lettering. If you want to print this, I'd recommend slowing down your print speed since it's pretty complex. The size isn't too adjustable, so making it significantly smaller will probably require a nozzle smaller than 0.4 mm for the teeth to come out okay; make it significantly larger and the key ring won't fit over his fists. If you have your support settings dialed in, you'll probably want to use supports everywhere and just be gentle when removing any that are inside the mouth. Feel free to hit me up with any questions or comments, and I'll do my best to answer them!
