Key Holder Designed in Virtual Reality

I wanted to use the virtual reality app Oculus Medium to design a 3D printable object that would be truly useful. This is an early attempt at making that idea a reality, based on a popular key holder design that I have printed and used myself before. To enhance its ornate features, which make this object more than just a stick with holes, I printed in contrasting layers of ProtoPasta composite PLA filament. More images from the process can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/vBRPe. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 11% Notes: Printed in ProtoPasta Carbon Fiber PLA, then changed to ProtoPasta Stainless Steel PLA mid-print at 218C @ 32mm/s. Post-Printing: I quickly sanded the object with medium and fine sandpaper, rinsed it, dabbed it dry, and rubbed it with a cloth. I assembled the keys and hardware as shown in the pictures. How I Designed This I designed this object using Oculus Rift with Touch controllers and the Medium app. The double-sided sculpt was exported in .obj format and I cut it in half using netfabb while checking for mesh problems.
