I designed this 3D object, tested it, and it works perfectly. I'm not sure if similar locks are used anywhere else but Sweden, where I've seen them frequently. The key I created can open swinging booms, lifting booms, and some booms with padlocks. To create the design, I measured the original item using calipers, consulted YouTube guides, and modified my first version based on its function and feel. This is iteration two, which improves upon the first model that could open these locks but couldn't access the one pictured due to an anti-tamper cowling around the keyhole. My initial key was too short to turn the handle inside the cowling, and the ring on the back kept hitting it. To fix this, I lengthened the key slightly, reduced the size of the ring at the end, thickened the tooth that pushes the lock around, and made the indentation on the front end less deep for added strength – it didn't need to be as deep as the original key's. Print Settings: Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Any you like; 350 microns was used in the picture. Infill: I used medium infill. Notes: The key in the picture has been sanded to clean up leftover raft and support material, then dipped in acetone to further fuse the layers together.
