Attention, helicopter photography enthusiasts! Enhance your aerial filming experience by following these steps: 1. Print your 3D camera mount using a 3D printer or find one nearby on 3D Hubs. Oliver's Hub in Zurich (Switzerland) used an Up-Mini for my parts. Smooth the surfaces with acetone and drill holes according to DIN M3 screws. 2. Assemble the parts as shown in the attached images, but modify the canopy attachment piece with a cutter. You'll need: 2x M3x12mm screws, 3x self-locking nuts, 2x M3 washers, 1x M3x8mm screw, hot glue for gaps, and a wide angle key camera (eBay's DV20 808 #20 HD video recorder costs around €30). Secure the mount with double-sided tape. 3. Before takeoff, double-check that your modifications don't interfere with your helicopter's components. The additional 57g camera mount won't require significant control trimming for a heli weighing around 700g. 4. Test the film quality in hover mode, adjusting the key cam attachment if needed to minimize wobbliness. Remember, this is an affordable setup, so don't expect professional-quality footage. Just enjoy! 5. After filming, retrieve your footage from the micro SD card connected to your computer and edit using Magix Movie Software.
