Keurig "Happy Birthday" Drip Tray
thingiverse
A simple (but colorful!) Keurig drip tray I printed for my wife's birthday. Our Keurig is a B60; different models have different tray shapes. My first iteration had only the cake, analogous to the St. Patrick's Day tray I made. It looked too empty after printing, so I added text to spruce it up. Better, but still a bit blah - at least in the PLA I used - so I broke out the acrylic paint markers to give it some pop. I've also played w/ a few ways of putting LEDs behind the candles. I haven't finished that part yet, but it's a fun touch (and totally not absurdly overboard for a drip tray). Two caveats/issues: * The bottom frosting is *directly* below the Keurig's nozzle, defeating the purpose of a drip tray. * The HAPPY text looks good when the tray is solo, but gets partially covered when it's on the machine and pushed in all the way. Both are classic first draft mistakes (form before function) that I'll fix in v2. Wanted to upload anyway in case it can be a starting point or is still worth it for the visual impact (or you don't drip much - we used it, and it was fine).
