Kestrel GoPro Stabilisation Gimbal Hero 1 and 3 versions
thingiverse
A custom-made brushless motor stabilization gimbal, crafted for my 3D printed quadcopter frame, specifically designed for particular motors and the GoPro Hero HD (1st Gen). A variation will be created for GoPro 3 users. Watch the first test video at http://youtu.be/bbDWjGNbhfU. The gimbal motors are from iFlight (http://www.iflight-rc.com/product/iPower-Brushless-Motor-iPower-GBM-Motors-iPower-GBM2208-80T.html). It employs a Martinez v3 controller, details of which can be found at https://code.google.com/p/brushless-gimbal/. Expect to see instructions, parts list, and OpenSCAD source soon... The gimbal requires the following parts: 8 x M2x12 for motors, 8 x M3x6 for motors, 2 x M3x25 for connecting front and back arm, 2 x M3 nuts for connecting front and back arm, and 2 x M3x50 for an adjustable counter balance. To achieve balance, use various M3 bearings, washers or nuts on the M3x50.
