Kershaw Knife Thumb Safety
thingiverse
I possess a Kershaw pocket knife (Ken Onion design #1660) featuring "assisted opening." Unfortunately for me, the safety malfunctioned unbeknownst to me, resulting in my hand getting sliced while it was still in my pocket. A tiny lock like this can be constructed in approximately 7 minutes and helps prevent problems such as slicing your hand severely by accident. Following the incident, I applied a small amount of teflon lubricant and adjusted the T6 torx screw to ensure smooth movement. Notably, replacing this item is challenging without flattening the backside first, which allows the screw to thread properly.
