Some simple scales for a Kershaw Chill knife are easy to print and customize. Both tip-up and tip-down versions of the left scale are included so you can carry your knife however you like. You'll also find both a blank version of the right scale and one with my logo cut into it. Adding your own graphics is as simple as using your tool of choice to cut or boolean out your shape. A filament swap for subtle color variation looks great on this design. .STEP files are included to make modifications in CAD programs easier. Some tips on disassembling/reassembling your knife: Take note that the two screws for the clip look similar but are actually a bit longer than the others. Only those two screws will work on the clip, but they also work on the scales. Be careful not to accidentally use them on the scales or you'll be left with no screws to attach your clip. The easiest way to re-assemble the knife is starting on the left side (the side with the clip/liner lock). The pins that hold the handle in place have flat edges that match up with flat edges in the metal frame. Screw those in to hold your left scale in place, then add the plastic frame spacer, pin, washers, blade, etc. The flat side of the pin goes towards the clip. If you put the domed end towards the clip it might be tough to get in/out of your pocket. The smaller washers go on the clip side. This is important because the larger ones will interfere with the liner lock. For both sets, the copper washer must be the one touching the blade. Print Settings Notes: This is the easiest print ever. No overhangs, no weird orientations. Layer height doesn't matter.
