As already stated this is a model of a LT-2 Landing Strut from the game Kerbal Space Program. All the relevant detail that was in the ingame model should be in this model. The dimensions used were just rough just to get the proportion right so the model is roughly 35mm x 200mm x 140mm. The idea is for this to be an ongoing thing so that I would eventually have a mass of parts from the game for everyone to build and print any ship configuration desired by just drag and dropping the parts in an assembly. So keep checking my page for any future parts.
If interested, join my group @ http://www.thingiverse.com/groups/design-to-print/topics where I aim to help anybody with anything I can with modeling like this design.
Instructions
Scale the model to whatever size you wish before printing due to the model being oversized for ease of modeling.
If the model is not in the correct orientation just set to print whatever way you want.
