sketchfab
3D Model of Keppel's Column, Rotherham (UK) Completed in 1780, the column honors Admiral Keppel's honorably acquitted court-martial after failing to engage French forces off Brest in 1778. Standing atop a prominent hill south of the Wentworth Estate at 35 meters high, it towers above its fellow three Wentworth follies. Located on a prominent hill south of the Wentworth Estate, the monument now lies in a perilous state and remains locked for safety reasons. In 2021, plans were announced to repair the column and internal spiral staircase, allowing public access to the viewing platform for the first time since the 1960s. The model was created using 263 photographs taken with a DJI Mavic Mini drone and processed with Pix4Dmapper software.
