Kenwood TM-D710GA and FT-891 combo mount for a RAM 1" ball requires added support under the 891 due to its single screw mount. Without this support, the head unit spins freely. To assemble the combo mount, you'll need: * 891 Mount: 1 M5x12 with lock washer & flat washer * 891 Shelf Support: 2 #8-32 x 1.25" screws with lock washer and nut * D710 Mount: 4 M3x12 with lock washer & flat washer D710 screws require some pressure to grab the first couple of turns due to non-threaded screw holes. Some RAM mount ball designs feature a weak connecting cylinder to the base, leading to complaints about breakage. To address this issue, additional support has been added to the base and girth of the cylinder support. After installing the 891 shelf, push it down towards the D710. The fit is tight on the back of the 891, so you may need to install the shelf just snugly, then tighten the bolts after mounting the 891. For optimal durability, print this combo mount in PETG to withstand the heat inside your car. Printing with PLA and leaving it in your car during summer will cause the RAM mount ball to fail.
