I was fed up with my radio taking a seat in the cup holder on my way to work and I still hadn't installed my phone yet, so I created a cradle for my HT that would let a charger cable and antenna wire come out from the dashboard when in use. There was an essentially useless compartment in the dash that was a weird shape, so I pulled it out and designed this print to go into it. I print with Cura standard supports, but minimal supports are needed depending on the orientation of the print. I find the strength to stay attached to the dashboard is maximized if it is printed with the radio base touching the print bed. I have always printed in ABS because I live in AZ and the heat in the car can be tough on PLA, causing warping.
