Kenwood D710G to Ram Adapter

UPDATE: There are 2 versions available, the file with Revision 2 is more refined, allowing the faceplate unit to sit lower vertically when mounted from behind, and offering additional adjustment options. The older version has been left in place in case it suits someone's application better. This adapter kit adapts a Kenwood D710G faceplate to fit on a standard 1-inch ball, specifically the part #RAM-B-238. A key feature of this design is that it does not require threading screws directly into the faceplate unit itself. To assemble the adapter, you will need M4 fasteners longer than those supplied with the radio, as well as fasteners for the RAM mounting unit. **Assembly Instructions** 1. Print the adapter with 100% infill to ensure maximum strength. 2. For applications that involve high heat environments, we recommend printing the adapter using ABS material. By following these guidelines and recommendations, you can successfully adapt a Kenwood D710G faceplate to fit on a standard 1-inch ball, part #RAM-B-238, without threading screws directly into the faceplate unit itself.
