Kenu Airframe Extensions
thingiverse
My Kenu Airframe has been serving me since my iPhone4 days. However, with larger smartphones, especially when paired with a battery case, a firm grip was no longer guaranteed. To rectify this issue, I designed and printed custom extensions to accommodate my bigger phone. Initially, I attempted using TPU, but unfortunately, the phone continued to slip. Undeterred, I switched to printing the extensions in PLA and attached a 1mm layer of cellular rubber for added traction. This modification has greatly improved the Kenu Airframe's ability to hold my phone securely. Additionally, I encountered another problem – the frame would occasionally rotate slightly. To address this issue, I created an adapter with a 10° angle, effectively resolving the problem.
