Kent Fish Scrapper Razor Insert

Kent Fish Scrapper Razor Insert

I've wanted to build this for a long time, specifically for my reef tank. The stock blade that comes with the Kent Algae Scrapper works okay but I needed more bite and was unhappy with gluing single-edged razors to the insert. In the pictures, the yellow one is the original, and I made it so you can insert two single-edged razor blades into a slot. There may be some trimming needed after the print and you want the blades secure, so a little extra plastic won't hurt; however, you could add super glue for added security if desired. The hold-in clip might not fit past the inner hole, so simply knock off some of the point until it fits snug. Please note that this thing can be used at your own risk as serious injury may result from inserting razor blades improperly or accidentally causing them to slip out when cleaning algae from delicate aquariums; exercise extreme caution while handling. Avoid getting close to fish or other mammals in the tank and make sure children keep their hands off completely, keeping all young ones safe from accidental cuts. Insert the plastic insert into the Kent holder before adding the razor blades for a secure hold; if you need to remove them, use needle-nose pliers to carefully pull out the blades to avoid slipping.
