The Kenner Indiana Jones toys held a special place in my heart as a child. I was particularly fascinated by the Well of Souls map room play set, which featured an intricately detailed miniature map that captivated me. To help others recreate this iconic scene, I've put together a DIY guide for printing your own Well of Souls map room. This project is inspired by the original piece from the play set, and I've tried to replicate its intricate details as accurately as possible. As you can see in the first picture, the original map on the left sits alongside a 3D printed version on the right. My goal was to closely mimic the look and feel of the original, down to the smallest detail. One distinctive feature of the original map is the presence of faux hieroglyphics near the holes at its base. I've attempted to incorporate these same hieroglyphics into my 3D printed version, so it's as close to the original as possible. For those interested in printing their own Well of Souls map room, I used a .10 resolution with 15% infill and PLA material to achieve the desired level of detail.
