NORP Organizer – Lids & Extended Boxes🧩 DescriptionI use a lot of NORP organizers for screws, nuts, washers, and small hardware. They’re inexpensive and the removable boxes are handy, but the stock inserts let parts spill between compartments. This set adds:Custom snap-on lids that fit the NORP boxes and keep contents from migrating between cells.Extended boxes so you can store longer fasteners (the stock longest I had handled ~100 mm screws). I didn’t model every length—other sizes are easy to get by scaling. Each lid has a label area for a sticker or handwritten note (marker-friendly).🖨️ Printing Orientation & TipsLids: Print flat, lid underside on the bed for the flattest sealing surface and best snap fit.If your first layer is squished, enable elephant’s-foot compensation or add a 0.2 mm chamfer in your slicer to keep edges crisp.Boxes: Print open side up (base on the bed). No supports required.Scaling lengths: To create additional sizes, scale only in X (length) to keep width/height and lid fit unchanged.Fit tuning: If the snap feels tight/loose, use slicer horizontal expansion (±0.1–0.2 mm) instead of global scaling.Labeling: Lightly texture or wipe the label area with IPA before applying stickers or writing.🛠️ Recommended SettingsLayer height: 0.20 mmWalls / perimeters: 2 (use 3 if you want stiffer boxes/lids)Infill: 0–10% (thin-walled parts usually print as walls only)Top / Bottom: 3–4 top layers; 3 bottom layersSupports: Not requiredBrim: Optional (use if you see edge lift)Filament: PETG (recommended) for toughness slight flex, and outdoor/UV exposure; PLA also works (great for indoor storage).Adhesion: PEI smooth or textured sheet with glue stick or another adhesion aid recommended📝 NotesDesigned for hardware & small parts; avoid sharp over-stuffing that could gouge the lid.Measure your NORP tray—there are variations. Print one test lid/box first and adjust horizontal expansion if needed. For heavy metal contents, consider 3 perimeters and a bit of infill (5–10%) near the base.🧩 AssemblyNo assembly required. Each lid and box prints as a single piece, ready to drop into your NORP organizer.☕ Support & FollowIf you like my designs, follow me — more functional everyday prints are coming soon, including tool organizers, workshop helpers, and printable accessories. You can buy me a coffee simply by printing and boosting my files — nothing more 😉Most of my uploads are completely free, so I’ll be truly happy if you decide to reward my work in any way.If you’re interested in commercial use of this model, please contact me by leaving a comment.
