The Ken Rand-designed experimental aircraft from the early '70s was a progression of his successful KR-1 Experimental. Seating two side by side, this compact plane had a VW or Porsche engine of 75-90 hp and a fixed, 2-blade propeller. Cruising at 120 mph with a stall speed around 40, it was one of the world's smallest two-seaters, built by homebuilders using wooden trusses, plywood fuselage, wood wing structure, and composite foam/fiberglass skins. It was also popular and successful like its predecessor. The scale model features animateable control surfaces, animated propeller, openable canopy revealing the panel, seats, and controls, retractable main landing gear, and is available in various formats and paint schemes.
