The KR-2, designed by Ken Rand in the early '70s, was a development of his successful KR-1 Experimental. The compact aircraft accommodated a pilot and passenger/copilot in side-by-side seating. Powered by a VW or Porsche inline engine (75-90 hp) with a fixed 2-blade propeller, it cruised at 120 mph and stalled at around 40 mph. Notably, the KR-2 was among the world's smallest two-seat airplanes ever constructed, crafted by homebuilders using wooden truss, plywood fuselage, wood wing structure, and composite foam and fiberglass epoxy resin for wing skins. The aircraft's popularity and success matched that of the KR-1. This meticulously scaled model features fully textured components, animateable control surfaces, an animated propeller, and a canopy that opens to reveal the instrument panel, seats, and controls. The main landing gear retracts into recessed wing bays. Available in multiple formats and paint schemes.
