Designed by Ken Rand in the 70s, this miniature experimental aircraft was an evolution of his successful KR-1 Experimental. The compact airplane featured side-by-side seating for a pilot and passenger or copilot, driven by a VW or Porsche inline engine with 75-90 hp and a fixed pitch 2-blade propeller. Reaching a cruise speed of 120 mph and stall speed around 40 mph, it was one of the world's smallest two-seater planes constructed with wooden trusses, plywood fuselage, wood wing structure, and composite skins of micro-bead foam and fiberglass epoxy resin. The model boasts near-scale craftsmanship, full texturing, animatable control surfaces, an animated propeller, a removable canopy revealing the instrument panel and seating arrangement, and retractable main landing gear into wing recesses. It comes in various formats and multiple paint schemes.
