Keith Haring coaster
prusaprinters

This is the coaster that I made myself. It is inspired by Keith Haring's art. I have not been able to print it myself in 6 different colors because I don't have 6 colors at the moment.

I made this with the help of Devin from Make Anything.

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV2AjyowXX4&t=666s"></oembed>

With MMU or Mosaic palette

I hope someone with a Prusa MMU or a Mosaic palette can do this. I added an obj file so you can easily color it for the MMU or Palette users. If you have been able to successfully print it in different colors will you please upload a picture because I am very curious about how it looks?

Without MMU or Mosaic palette

I added a 3MF file so you can easily slice the different colors and print them on top of each other.

To slice them separately you need to set the colors you don't want to slice to "not printable". you do this by clicking on the eye via the model navigator.

If you use a BL touch. don't forget to change your Z-offset. if you use a homing switch like on the vast majority of Creality printers then you don't need to change anything to your Z-offset.

Own experience

The Blue coaster was made with the drawing down. For this subject, I printed the drawing first and the base of the coaster on top. The layers look a little bit crushed.

The Red coaster is made with the drawing facing up. I printed the base first and the drawings on top for this design. the corners look better but it has a rough finish. A bit of fine sanding should fix this.

I hope you can get started with this model with this information. I also have the fusion 360 files with this model so you can easily adjust things if necessary.

Don't hesitate to leave a question. I will be happy to answer them.

Slicer settings:

First Layer height: 0.2mm

Layer height: 0.2mm

Perimeters: 2

When printing drawings first set the bridging ratio to 1.

Filament used:

Coaster base: Polyterra charcoal black

Blue drawings: Polyterra sapphire blue

Red drawings: Polyterra lava red

Many thanks to @Artcfox for fixing the file issue with the multi-material units and giving permission to use his amazing photos of his print.
