Keff's Rotating Filament Hanger
thingiverse
A simplistic filament spooling gadget, inspired by Nophead's Sky Hook design, utilizes a white ABS spindle that can be resized to match any 606 skate bearing or others. The macrame basket is crafted from three 90cm strings and knots, as detailed in the provided image. To set up, adjust the spindle for your chosen bearing, then string it through its top holes for suspension. For added stability, use two corners to avoid shearing. Hang the spindle with a hook, ensuring the hollow part faces upward. Insert the skate bearing into the spindle's hole. Next, create a looped string larger than the skate bearing's inner diameter, knot it, and pass it through the hole to prevent slipping. Finally, suspend your macrame basket from this looped string for effortless usage.
