Keencut Evolution E2 Linear Bearing CA75-115
thingiverse
Replacement linear bearing (CA75-115) for Foster Keencut Evolution E2 cutter.I assume there are multiple applications this part will work for because the larger holes appear to serve no purpose when used in this cutter. (Wish I knew before designing)Printed flat on the larger edge with the holes facing up without supports.Screw holes are not threaded.I forced the screws in and out once before assembling to thread them and it worked out great. (A lot easier to pre-thread it using an M3 socket head screw if you have one vs using one of the tiny screws that the machine uses)I made the wear surface thicker than original as much as space would allow, because the material will likely not last as long as the original PTFE bearings.Fits perfect and slides great. Just a question of how long they will last.I printed mine using PETG, which didn't work out well without regularly lubricating.Tried again with Nylon, and it's been great ever since.I also intentionally over tighted the adjustment screws to the point that the cutter would barely move, then slid it back and forth a bunch to break them in, then loosened slightly for operation, and added a few drops of 3-in-1 oil to the track, but it seemed ok without the oil.
