Ogham Stone: This lies loose on the surface of the cashel in the vicinity of the souterrain where it was discovered in 1855 by Rev. James Goodman as documented by Hitchcock in 1856 on pages 439-41. Curran, number fourteen, learned from Goodman's family that the stone had been found serving as the entrance lintel to the souterrain. However, Ferguson stated in 1887 on page thirty-nine that it was initially discovered in an adjoining killeen which contradicts other accounts of its origin. The stone was severely damaged in the 1880s and one fragment went missing, leaving two visible fragments measuring 1.81 meters overall with an inscription reading TOGITTACC MAQI SAGARET(TOS).
