sketchfab
A calluragh burial ground with cross-inscribed stone and hut sites sits beside the main Tralee to Camp road on a gentle north-facing slope, about 450 meters from Tralee Bay. The Killelton oratory lies 300 meters southeast. Dense vegetation made it impossible to examine the site in detail, but it appears to be a large, flat-topped mound of stones that is less extensive than indicated on the second edition of the OS map. On this map, the mound appears as an irregular area about 75 meters long from north to south and about 30 meters wide at its center, tapering towards the ends. The mound stands about 1.5 meters high. Next to the northwest edge of the mound is a circular hut made of drystone corbelled construction, whose interior is now occupied by a corrugated-iron shed. The floor of this hut lies two meters below the top of the mound and eight-tenths of a meter below the external ground level, with no part of its outer face visible today.
