Did not find any suitable designs online for magnetic effector arms using the KD310 magnetic joint system found on this website: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32900515768.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.680b4c4dVFXBEt. Designed specifically for 6mm thick carbon fiber arms, the KD310 series joint features an M3x8 screw that requires plenty of locktite to secure it firmly into place within the magnetic joint. Additionally, CA or E6000 adhesive is used to attach the carbon rod to the fitting, and cutting the rods to size before installing a second cap is crucial, taking care to measure the steel ball's position. Before running the arm, spray the magnetic joint with PTFE dry lubricant for smooth operation. The KD310 joint operates on an M3-based system, necessitating an M3 socketed effector and carriage. This design offers a significant advantage: by loosening or tightening the brass parts within the arm and captive screw, users can easily adjust the length of the effector rod to compensate for any inaccuracies in rod cutting. Following this setup, I have successfully calibrated the rod to within 10 microns of its expected length.
