This is a singular example of a double effigy type cadaver stone situated in Castledermot, the sole recorded specimen in co. Kildare. Found in north transept's central chapel, it showcases two cadavers flanking a ringed, eight-armed fleur-de-lis cross crafted in low relief. A female figure is draped in a shroud, while her male counterpart stands naked. Partial inscriptions on the cross shaft reveal EH and on the margin: JAMES TALLON IOANE SKELTON WHO DIED 2 [1 OF …05], as recorded by Bradley et al in 1986. The estimated date for this cadaver stone is believed to be 1505. This model was produced using Photogrammetry technology, courtesy of @DH_Age's survey efforts. This project was made possible through funding from the Kildare County Council Community Heritage Grant.
