Norman-French cross-slab fragment, 13th/14th century lying in the grass to the south of the church and northeast of the Southern high cross within St James' Graveyard. Inscription read by Bradley et al in 1986 as IE SE VC [A]LME EIT M[ERCI], with the end of this word guessed. Today, some letters have worn off but the last letter on the first line now appears more like an O, giving a new reading …E SE VO …E:E IT:M…. Survey conducted by @Dh_Age. Funded by Kildare County Council Community Heritage Grant 2017.
