The pre-1200 cross-slab is a magnificent recumbent, tapering granite slab with dimensions of length 1.7 meters and width 0.28 to 0.41 meters at its thickest point, standing at an impressive thickness of 0.18 meters. A Latin cross is carved in relief on this slab, although it is positioned slightly off-center, boasting a central diamond-shaped boss that measures 0.15 meters in diameter. This incredible artifact is situated to the west of the South High Cross in St James' Graveyard. The survey was conducted by @Dh_Age, and the project was generously funded by the Kildare County Council Community Heritage Grant in 2017.
