I created this device because I have two speakers set up in separate rooms, which sometimes necessitates muting one of them. To accomplish this, I installed a switch that controls both speakers, and it works beautifully. However, be cautious not to overtighten the screws when assembling it, as I discovered firsthand that overtorque can cause the plastic casing to crack.
