The Stratotanker is a mid-air refueling jet aircraft. The four-engined plane is utilized by US military forces and allied nations. The Stratotanker can be employed for cargo and passenger transport as well. Over 200 Stratotankers are operational globally. The first flight of the Stratotanker took place in December 1952. The initial air-to-air refueling mission was accomplished with the B-47 Stratojet aircraft in January 1955, and it entered service in May 1957. The 200th Stratotanker was delivered in November 1964
