Warning: Batteries can be dangerous! Especially large capacity power tool batteries. Over-discharging Lithium Ion and/or Lithium Polymer can result in permanent damage to the battery and/or can cause them to become unstable sometimes resulting in a fire or explosion. Some batteries have protection circuitry built in, some do not. The parent design implements no such protection. You have been warned. Proceed at your own risk! Other than that, I think the concept is fairly straightforward... KB Knife Sharpener can be powered by an external power tool battery by adapting to a 2.1mm plug. There are many such existing adapters to download here in 3D land. If you aren't in the mood for remixing/printing, these adapters can be found on Amazon or Ali by searching [your battery ecosystem] + "power wheels" adapter. I strongly suggest only using batteries with a "monitor" feature. Link to main design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5724955 The photo shows a DeWalt 20V MAX battery adapted to supply the knife sharpener (internally using a 24VDC motor). The motor will run slightly slower than with a 24V power supply but will be useable nonetheless.
